Transmission Diagnostics
Our diagnostic rate is $180 per hour, with a one-hour minimum. We obtain your approval before performing chargeable diagnostic work. If additional diagnostic time is needed, we’ll explain the cost and contact you for authorization before continuing. We will not exceed the amount you approve without contacting you first.
1. Listen and scan. We listen carefully to your concerns and scan all available vehicle systems for diagnostic trouble codes. We save the report to your vehicle’s repair order.
2. Inspect the vehicle. Our technician reviews the codes, checks the transmission fluid level and condition, and performs an undercarriage inspection on a lift if needed.
3. Perform testing as needed. Depending on the concern, testing may include road testing cold or at operating temperature, recording scan tool data, checking transmission hydraulic pressure, or removing the transmission oil pan and inspecting or cutting open the filter. If the problem is visible, we’ll share pictures or a video when possible.
4. Explain the findings and estimate. We contact you by phone, text, or email with the diagnostic results, repair options, estimated repair cost, and warranty details. You can approve or decline repairs by phone, text, or in person. Repairs begin only with your approval.
5. Confirm the repair timeline. Most approved repairs take approximately 4–10 business days, depending on the vehicle, the work needed, and parts availability. If you decline repairs, you are responsible for the diagnostic charges you authorized.
6. Keep you informed. If we find additional concerns during repairs, we explain the findings and any added cost and get your approval before performing additional work. We do our best to keep you updated throughout the repair process.
7. Notify you when ready. Once repairs are complete, we road test your vehicle and perform a final inspection. After your vehicle passes our final inspection, we contact you to arrange a pickup time.
Transmission Rebuilds & Replacements
Transmissions rebuilt at our shop include a 2-year/24,000-mile local warranty.
Most remanufactured transmission units include a 3-year/100,000-mile nationwide warranty.
Auto Repair
We repair brake systems, suspension, water pumps, radiators, alternators, belts, hoses, oil leaks, and engine and transmission mounts. We also offer engine replacement.
Vehicle Maintenance
We offer full synthetic or conventional engine oil changes, based on your preference and your vehicle’s requirements. We also provide transmission fluid and filter changes, differential fluid service, manual transmission and transfer case fluid service, coolant service, and brake fluid replacement.
